Aston & James will seek to minimize waste through reduction in unnecessary consumption. Through purchasing recycled products and packaging for its own use.

Where Ever Possible we will inform you of the recycled content of our products and all this information is available through our online ordering solution.

Aston & James can offer recycling bins for you to return to us your used toner cartridges. These are then recycled and a donation is made to our nominated charity.

Our mainline copier paper is one of the few papers that are FSC approved. FSC is an international, nongovernmental organization dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. Full information of the forest stewardship can be found at www.fsc.org

We launched our first digital publication in 2006 and have since seen an increase in the number of customers preferring to receive our catalogue digitally. Due to the success of this we have recently added a MAD (Make A Difference) digital publication which is packed full of eco friendly products and interesting office facts. In addition to this we have also launched ECO Office www.ecooffice.org.uk the website offers up to date tips, ideas, latest green brands and eco friendly products. Which will help you make small changes to your lifestyle at work and at home.

We have recently signed up to the Carbon Offset and Climate awareness association. Planting Trees is one of the easiest ways to reduce our carbon foot print. Each tree we plant through the Breathing Planet will offset 1 tonne of carbon throughout the life of the tree. As well as absorbing carbon trees help regulate rainfall, provide vital habitats for wildlife. In partnership with the Breathing Planet we want to help them to plant 200,010 Trees in 2010. Tammi Aston was one of the first to do this last month.
